Considered as Eat Bulaga's Next Big Thing On TV, the EB Babes were formed from the ground up from hundreds of aspiring females from all over the Philippines in a Reality-TV type concept. From the eliminations until the semi-finals, only 22 finalists were chosen and were given the chance to prove themselves at the EB Babes training camp. The remaining participants were then honed and taught many different skills to become Eat Bulaga's versatile all-female group, from dancing, singing to acting, everyone was expected to be at their very best. At the end of the month long training regimen, social activities and nerve-wracking contestant eliminations (specially held during Eat Bulaga's Saturday episodes at the duration of the training camp usually accompanied after a special dance number with the EB Babes finalists), only 10 were chosen to become Eat Bulaga's new dance

When the SexBomb Girls walked out on the noontime show Eat Bulaga, due to issues with former SexBomb member Sugar Mercado (who at that time, whose contract had already expired on the said group) was being heavily promoted by Eat Bulaga. This caused an unhealthy friction between the management of TAPE Inc. (Eat Bulaga) and Focus Entertainment Inc. (Joy Cancio). This unfortunate misunderstanding resulted in the pull-out and boycott of the said group on the noontime show, leaving Eat Bulaga with no dancers on the floor. For the meantime, the co-hosts served and substituted as the noontime shows' dancers, until Eat Bulaga's management took action and prompted to look for their very own regular house dancers, hence the EB Babes was born.
The members of the EB Babes came from droves of aspiring female dancers who auditioned for a possible spot in the said dance group. The accepted applicants then had to undergo over a month of training in a dormitory-like facility located in Sitio Lucia in Sta. Maria, Bulacan. As seen on television, some of the young hopeful dancers were eliminated.
Though the producers of Eat Bulaga, TAPE Inc. could have just taken the easy way by getting a new dance group or hiring established female dancers, they made sure that the latest addition to their family would excite their viewers. Thus they gave it a Reality-TV flavor which their audience enjoyed watching even with the tedious and taxing process of building for Eat Bulaga a new dance troupe all worth it.
As Malou Choa-Fagar quipped proudly, "Para maiba lang."
The smooth rise of the EB Babes is also because of the guidance given not only by Ms. Malou Choa-Fagar, but by the whole Eat Bulaga family. Off camera, the EB Babes members were advised to be cautious of their actions, to have wholesome recreations, no vices as much as possible and being dignified wherever they are since they too are carrying the name of Eat Bulaga.[1]
Dubbed by Eat Bulaga as The Next Big Thing On TV, this talent search was specifically made to create Eat Bulaga's very own all-female dance group.

When EB Babe Kim left the group for personal reasons (refer to former members section for details), this prompted the management to look for replacements from the previous eliminated finalists of the 1st EB Babes Talent Search to fill in the missing slot she left and also to further expand the group members, this EB Babe related talent search event was considered by most viewers as the 2nd EB Babes Talent Search.
On February 2008, nine of the eliminated finalists from the 1st EB Babes Talent Search were recalled to vie once more for additional slots in the all-female group. On March 1, three former finalists were declared as the new members of the EB Babes.[2] Ironically, in an unfortunate turn of events, all three of the supposedly new additions to the roster have all pursued different career paths and ended up leaving the group.
Presently active original members of the EB Babes from the 1st EB Babes Talent Search.
The EB Babes' "unofficial" leader (a.k.a. EB Babe Boss) and considered as one of the most versatile dancer in the group. She was formerly affiliated with the all-female dance group known as the ASF Dancers (a.k.a. Anna S. Feliciano Dancers). During the 1st EB Babes Talent Search and according to initial reports as well, she was the one who excelled the most in the training camp, specially in the field of dancing, hence, the responsibility to lead the group was assigned to her, where Ms. Malou Choa-Fagar and co-members also agreed upon. One of her most notable traits is her unusual jumpy behavior (commonly known as "mali-mali" in Tagalog), this habit of hers resulted in some comedic moments at the show (courtesy of Vic Sotto, Joey De Leon and Jose Manalo's antics), thus she was given the nickname "Hopia".
Considered by many viewers and critics alike as one of the most attractive participant during the 1st EB Babes Talent Search, which in turn garnering her an enormous amount of votes (online and text combined) leading the competition. She was formerly affiliated with the short-lived Honey-Me Dancers, along with her sister Gina. According to interviews, she lives in her very own condominium along with co-members EB Babes' Ann and Joyce. She also sports a butterfly tattoo located at the upper back (shoulder area) and right hand.
Newly added members to the roster, coincidentally and also noting a fact that all the new members did not originate from any of the mentioned EB Babe related talent search events.
As opposed to most members of the EB Babes who joined the group, most of them were sorted and picked through competitions and contest-like events (i.e. 1st and 2nd EB Babes Talent Search), but in her case, it's quite different, she first appeared in the group without any known introductions and such, unlike the three newer members, namely EB Babes' Maricorn, Ria and Steph, she was included in the roster there and then. During Eat Bulaga's February 10, 2009 episode, she was already seen performing with the group, leaving the viewers (mostly the fans of the EB Babes) scratching their heads as to who that new face was.
Originally based in Cebu City, she once took up residence in Muntinlupa City where she also studied (Muntinlupa National High School). More known as a former member of the SexBomb Girls and the SexBomb Wannabes. She was also affiliated with the all-female dance group known as the Pink Butterflies (2006), a sub dance group who also happens to be handled by the same company as her former group (specifically, Focus Entertainment Inc.). Back in her hometown in Cebu City, she was once a member of a band, so aside from dancing, she can sing as well, which makes her a good well-rounded new addition to the roster. Her diverse talents, past affiliations and experiences may have been the reasons she was added to the roster, simply put, "the overall package".
Due to her addition to the group, it's not surprising that such speculations like "how she would fit in with the EB Babes" would arise, since the EB Babes and the SexBomb Girls have mostly been considered by hardcore fans and casual viewers alike as stereotypical rival dance groups in the same noontime variety show (namely, Eat Bulaga). Just like the rest of the members in the roster who were given funny nicknames, the hosts (specifically Joey De Leon) jokingly calls her as Teri Onor as a running gag.
She is one among three of the newest addition to the roster of the EB Babes along with EB Babes' Ria and Steph. She and the two new members of the group were introduced and debuted at Eat Bulaga on August 18, 2009. She has been dancing professionally for about 6 years, but was actually already dancing since she was in preparatory school. Hiphop, B-boy, Popping and Locking dance styles were more her passion and specialty, but ever since the shift from her usual style to the EB Babes, she had to absorb and adapt to their dancing style too (i.e. new choreographer, new steps, new projections and nonstop smiling on television). She was formerly affiliated with another dance group called as Teamvibe and was also a former participant in one of Eat Bulaga's segment entitled "EB's Dance Station" featuring Lady Gaga. Before she made it to the EB Babes, she was a freelance dancer performing in events and televisions. She also did numerous TV commercials of known brands such as Alaska, Touch Mobile and Sun Cellular. She usually attends dance classes offered by foreign choreographers that visits the country. She participated in one of GMA-7's Reality-TV show entitled "Move! The Billy Crawford's Search for Pinoy Dancers" and made it to the 24th spot. She also attended quite a number of schools during her learning years such as Informatics North Edsa, St. Francis Xavier Parochial School, Lagro High School and Maligaya Elementary School. One of the co-hosts, namely Mrs. Ruby Rodriguez jokingly nicknames and calls her "Cornick".
Hailing from Tondo, Manila and stands 5'5" tall. She is one of the three new members of the EB Babes who were added officially to the roster along with EB Babes' Maricorn and Steph. She along with the two new members of the group was introduced and debuted on August 18, 2009 performing a special dance number with the rest of the EB Babes at Eat Bulaga. On an obvious note, her hobbies include dancing. She was formerly affiliated with the all-female dance group known as the Jaguar Babes and also with the NHM Dancers. She also worked outside the Philippines, particularly in Japan at Gunma (2005) and at Shizuoka (2006–2007) with her former group.
She is among one of the three new members of the EB Babes who were officially introduced and added to the roster on August 18, 2009 along with EB Babes' Maricorn and Ria. Born and raised in Manila, she studied in Panaroma Montessory School at Biñan, Laguna during her elementary and high school years and in the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna during her college years. She was formerly affiliated with the all-female dance group known as the ASF Dancers (a.k.a. Anna S. Feliciano Dancers) just like EB Babe Ann was. Noting a fact based on some of her interviews that the main host of the noontime TV show Wowowee, namely Willie Revillame played a big part in recommending her to join her former group, but before actually joining her former group, she opted to join the said noontime show as a co-host and not as a dancer. Aside from appearing in numerous TV commercials such as Globe Telecom (with Ms. KC Concepcion), FAB (Fab! Juice Drinks) and Rexona (with her former group) as a commercial model, she also played a part in the Dyesebel TV series as a mermaid. Also, at the duration of StarStruck (4th Season), she was then included in the top 20.
Members of the EB Babes who have officially or unofficially left the roster.
The 10th and final original member to be picked during the 1st EB Babes Talent Search. She sports a tattoo located at her lower back. Considered as the groups resident prankster even during the training camp days, thus the training camp designation.
At the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation 2006 awarding ceremonies, she was reported to have collapsed at the duration of the event due to fatigue. Also, during the controversial first ever showdown with the SexBomb Girls, an accident that caused a scratch at her back resulted in a quarrel - at the duration of both groups performance - with one of the members of the said group, namely SexBomb Mhyca, according to initial reports and interviews, other members of the EB Babes also suffered minor bruises.
She also participated in GMA-7's Reality-TV talent search StarStruck (3rd Season) and was included in the final 20. According to Startalk (episode aired on February 16, 2008), it was reported that she was pregnant and it was the main reason for her to leave the group, she is now a mother of a healthy boy. She is the very first member of the EB Babes to leave the group, also considering the fact that she was one of the original ten members.
She participated in the 1st EB Babes Talent Search and was eliminated on July 22, 2006. Along with co-participants EB Babes' Maiko and Divine, she was chosen among three as one of the newest member of the group after participating in the 2nd EB Babes Talent Search where former participants of the first said contest were given another chance to be included in the roster to fill in the spot left by EB Babe Kim and to further expand the group. She was introduced and debuted on March 25, 2008 at Eat Bulaga with the EB Babes weeks after they were officially announced. She has unofficially left the roster due to personal reasons, reports state that she has prioritized her studies over her career, but was spotted months later dancing with another group at TV5's show entitled Slambang. She is the second member of the EB Babes to leave the group.
Hailing from Makati City, she participated in the 1st EB Babes Talent Search and was eliminated on July 8, 2006, but fortunately, she was the first EB Babe contestant to be featured on FHM Philippines, since all of the original members of group were featured in the said magazine. She was officially introduced among three as the newest member of the group after participating in the 2nd EB Babes Talent Search on March 1, 2008, but debuted on TV weeks later on March 25, 2008. Along with EB Babes' Saida and Angel, she was also formerly affiliated with the Wowowee Girls (a.k.a. Bump Girls). At FHM Philippines, December 2006 Issue, according to the magazine interview, her name was derived from what Japanese dolls were called.[3] Along with EB Babes' Brenda and Divina, who are no longer affiliated with the EB Babes, she decided to leave the group to pursue and continue her studies along with other undisclosed personal reasons. She is the third member of the EB Babes to leave the group.
One of the most controversial and well-known member of the group, a big part of this is due to her past relationships and links with famous Philippine showbiz personalities like Janno Gibbs, Mark Herras and Paolo Contis. Considered as an all-around member in the group, because besides dancing, she can also sing and act. In her past (also seen at her special acting debut episode in Magpakailanman), she had a traumatizing experience in regards to attempted rape, but this episode in her life did not lean her towards the man-hater route, but instead, she tried to learn the lessons from it. She's also very fond of Hello Kitty (items and the like). She also sports a tattoo of a fairy located at her left hip and another set at the lower back. According to her co-movie casts (with the Iskul Bukol family) during her guesting and participation at the TV show Family Feud, she was jokingly nicknamed as "Heart Breaker".
According to interviews at Showbiz Central, after being diagnosed with ovarian cyst, she went into hiatus and was not seen with group since, she also stated in the said interview that she was undergoing medical treatment to avoid surgery by taking pills, and if this treatment would prove to be successful, she was expected to be back in the roster in a couple of months, but according to reports, though it is still presently unclear, it was stated that she was leaving the group for personal reasons and would like to continue pursuing her studies instead, her unexpected decision came as a shock to the members of the group, but they wish her all the best by supporting her and wishing her happiness.[4]
Originally from the City of Cebu and more adept in the Cebuano language. According to viewers, she can be considered as one of the most versatile dancer in the group along with co-member/leader EB Babe Ann, this is due to the fact that she was once a dancer in her hometown. One of her most notable performances in the show was her jump splits, with a variation of the said move accompanied with a 360 degrees spin, which was dubbed by viewers as The 360 Degrees Jump Split. Along with Manager (voice only co-host during the Taktak Mo O Tatakbo segments), she performed the Cebuano version of the famous Filipino novelty song Itaktak Mo, entitled Itaktak Gyud, revealing that she has some potential in singing as well. According to her in an interview, among the 3 dancers from Cebu to be chosen to compete in the 1st EB Babes Talent Search, she was very grateful that she was the one chosen to be their representative. She is presently attending flight school to become a flight stewardess, thus the primary reason for her hiatus. Main Eat Bulaga host Joey De Leon confirmed and stated in an episode that EB Babe Madel is excluded in the roster.
Due to her youthful appearance, small face and extra round-doe eyes, she was often mistaken as the groups youngest member, and because of this and also according to interviews, she was known to the group and nicknamed as their Baby. She describes herself as the more serious member of the group. Aside from dancing, she also has potential in the field of acting and singing, which makes her a good all-around performer in the group, these unique talent of hers shows in her performances at the show, a perfect example of these are her creative cosplay dance numbers and such.
Aside from undisclosed personal issues, she prompted not to renew her contract to focus more on her new found business, an internet cafe aptly named Maesure and possibly a chance to go back to school to resume her studies, thus the reasons for her exclusion in the group. Though not visible in the EB Babes roster, she can still be seen performing at GMA-7's late night show Cool Center as a member of the Cool Girls, the said shows very own dance group. The show had a long run but it had to be canceled because one of those is running for public office so the network had to replace it with a new show. Fortunately for Mae she was offered to join the Mocha girl group, and she became one of the newest member and she is known as Mocha Girl Mae.
t The EB Babes are first and foremost a dancing group, but among all the members, not just those who attended the training camp, she is the one who excels the most in the field of singing, even the hosts commend her quite exceptional singing talent. A perfect example of her vocal prowess is when the EB Babes do and perform a song number, where she usually leads the group, also, most of her individual performances lean more on singing. During the EB Babes' first ever guest appearance at All Star K!: The One Million Peso Videoke Challenge TV show, she was one of the few participants who won the coveted one million peso grand prize, where co-member, EB Babe Joyce played as her final competitor. She also sports a tattoo located at her neck and hips.
Belle, left the EB Babes so she can focus on her studies and she studied Culinary Arts in a presitigous Culinary School. She still do singing jobs at events from time to time.
EB Babe Angel
Name: Rochelle "Angel" Coronel
Nickname: Angel
Birthday: December 28, 1984
Zodiac Sign: Capricorn
Training Camp Designation: Street Jazz Babe
The eldest member and formerly affiliated with the all female group Wowowee Girls (a.k.a. Bump Girls). Due to her past affiliations, she was also considered to be as the more experienced member of the group. One of her most notable physical trait is her petite stature, which makes her the smallest among the members. At the show, there's this usual running gag where Vic Sotto (Bossing Vic) often makes jokes and puns about her underarms, hence, aside from the "foundation jokes", this was one of the main reasons why she was considered as "Bossing's Fave", which is, not meant literally, but more as a comedic relief. She left the EB Babes a now migrated in United States happily married and she lives in Washington D.C
She was formerly affiliated with the Wowowee Girls (a.k.a. Bump Girls). According to interviews, being designated as the Fashionista Babe, she loves to accessorize herself with gold, also, she happens to love strawberries as well as shopping. She sports a tattoo of a crown located at her mid lower back. One of her most notable traits is her squeeky voice, childlike behavior and playful personality, a perfect example of this is during the controversial first ever EB Babes vs. SexBomb showdown, where she gave SexBomb senior member Rochelle Pangilinan a bump from behind, which according to her in the interviews, she didn't mean no disrespect. She is currently the most visible and popular of the EB Babes on Eat...Bulaga! as she is included in the show's segment 'Pinoy Henyo' playing the role of the sexy stewardess (originally portrayed by EB Ann) who serves the hosts Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon with the food of the day. The hosts playfully asks her about the food, whatever the food may be, her response will be always be "My (name of food) is delicious." and "My (name of food) is clean. I washed it." she leaved the group for some reasons, she confirmed it in her twitter account: Sa mga nagtatanong, wala na po ako sa EB at di po ako buntis. Salamat po
Since the EB Babes are exclusively under the management and property of Eat Bulaga and TAPE Inc., it was expected of them to appear only on the said noontime show (since the group itself carries the noontime TV shows name), but they were also given the opportunity to appear and work on many different shows and projects on GMA-7 Network, it's affiliate QTV 11 and such.
